Prior to his current role, Pires held Excellence and Innovation leadership positions in large, global companies in the electronics (Sony), semiconductor (Cymer-ASML), food (Nestlé) and infrastructure (Black & Veatch) industries. Throughout his career, Pires developed and refined E&I as an award winning program for innovation, leadership development, strategy execution and value creation globally.
Pires is an advisory board leader and keynote speaker for several global conferences on innovation, operational excellence, leadership development, strategy execution, business transformation, customer engagement and growth acceleration.
He holds a Bachelor in Engineering Physics from the University of Kansas and a Master in Business Administration focused in Investment Banking and Entrepreneurship from the University of San Diego.
Oliver Maeckel is Partner / Vice President at Siemens AG / Siemens Management Consulting. He has been with Siemens AG since 1997. The focus of his current work is, in particular, the optimization of the development and delivery of "first-of-its-kind" large-scale projects and additionally the digitization of project business processes.
Over the last years, he and his team were able to decrease risks and to speed up project business processes in the pre-sale, sales and execution phase.
Leading company Materials Velocity effort by driving E2E process design of overall cyber ECO-System. Introducing Industry 4.0 to the enterprise allowing the teams to leverage and exploit a connected data/process flow.
Manage creation of future standards and architectural design of the E2E physical process and integrated architecture to lead enterprise digital transformation of our factory systems, processes, technology, and people. Responsibility of BPM implementation at the enterprise level to drive operational transformation.
Senior leader with proven success in Procurement,& Finance Operations within High Tech & Financial Services industries. Senior level roles for high growth Fortune 500 market leaders as well as bleeding edge startups . Mark is currently the Global Head of Procure to Pay at Uber. He leads the Procurement Process(Indirect and Direct), Account Payable, Supplier Management, Service Desk & Analytics.
Starting as a team of one, he now oversees a department of 50 employees across the world and more than 100 external contractors with global processes and optimized efficiency. Mark lead the launch of Uber's procurement process in 2016 which supports $3b in spending and serves more than 40K suppliers, 20K employees in 70+ countries. In 2018 Mark began a digital transformation of his functions which has resulted in $10 Mil savings, 40% increase in electronic process, 50% increase in CSAT and 40% increase in compliance. Additionally the transformation has allowed his teams to operationally scale w/ Uber(+30% avg annual growth) while not having to grow headcount.
Mark is an alumni of Salesforce and Visa where he served in leadership roles in the Procurement space. Mark has MBA from Santa Clara University and a BA from University of San Francisco. He speaks regularly at Procurement as well as Shared Services conferences. Outside the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and getting and cross training.
Sandra Lechiaro is a Business Transformation Manager, a key leadership role responsible for introducing enterprise transformation at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, with the recent creation of a Business Transformation Office. In this new capability, Sandra is bringing leadership to strategic projects that have an enterprise impact, by improving efficiencies and effectiveness of people, process and technology, that close capability gaps, minimizing operational risk and empowering the Laboratory’s “business of research”.
Sandra has spent most of her career at the Laboratory, in various key leadership roles in Business Operations and Contract Management, with her most recent role in Financial Operations focusing on business process improvement. She co-leads an Enterprise Applications Governance Board which brings strategic prioritization to IT investments, and a roadmap for long-term initiatives. With a deep understanding of the Laboratory’s unique culture, she is effective in building partnerships and cross-cutting teams across the organization to foster change management activities to minimize impacts and improve adoption.
Sandra holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Marketing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and her MBA with a concentration in Management of Information Sciences from Western New England University. She also earned Certificate from MIT’s Leader to Leader program, and a Certificate in Government Contract Management and is a Six Sigma Green Belt.
Michael has over 30 years’ experience in IT infrastructure marketing in high-tech organizations. He has launched ten application, system, and network monitoring products.
Michael has held positions as asolution architect, technical marketing manager, and product manager, before his current role asproduct marketing manager. He has a BS in in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. You can find him on Twitter @Michael_IT2.
Dr. Keith A. Clinkscale is a recognized Lean Six Sigma Black Belt & Operational Excellence Executive known for establishing best-in-class strategic performance management programs. Keith Clinkscale demonstrates a combination of broad industry experiences, performance management acumen and a history of results-oriented management consulting to drive significant improvement and cost savings. As a seasoned Industry Executive and Management Consultant, Keith built a reputation of excellence in all areas of operations.
His skillset includes over 30 years of Executive Coaching, Training and Content Design, Process Improvement, Benchmarking, Total Quality Management, Balanced Scorecards, Business Process Re-engineering, Strategic Planning, and High Performance Teams. Keith’s experience and sensitivity to customer concerns has always enabled him to provide a high level of service, whether in industry or as a consultant. Keith has headed the Performance Management Office at Palm Tran. Keith’s team provided executive coaching, goal and target setting through benchmarking, established and reported balanced scorecards, developed department scorecards and held department directors accountable for addressing deficiencies. Dr. Clinkscale has been the champion of Performance Reporting, Management and Improvement at Palm Tran.
Keith has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University and a PH.D in Strategic Leadership from Concordia College & University. He is now the Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Management for Palm Beach County and supervises all activities related to the long-term strategic plan of Palm Beach County as well as the strategic planning of over 30 county departments. Keith is responsible for assisting the Board of County Commissioners (BCC), Executive Team, Department Directors, and staff with the development of long-term goals, objectives, strategies, and actions.
Dr. Kirchmer is an experienced practitioner and thought leader in the field of Digital Transformation and Business Process Management (BPM). He co-founded BPM-D, a consulting company focusing on digital process transformation, operational excellence and customer experience by leveraging the discipline of BPM. Before he was Managing Director and Global Lead of BPM at Accenture, and CEO of the Americas and Japan of IDS Scheer, known for its ARIS Process Software.
Dr. Kirchmer has led numerous transformation and process improvement initiatives and has worked with hundreds of clients in technology, financial, health, consumer goods and manufacturing industries. He has published 11 books and over 150 articles. He is affiliated faculty at the University of Pennsylvania and received a research and teaching fellowship from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
William J. Maples, M.D. - Dr. Maples is the founder, president, and chief executive officer of the Institute for Healthcare Excellence, a national organization supporting care redesign and cultural transformation in delivery systems across the United States.
Dr. Maples earned his undergraduate, Masters in Oncology, and medical degrees at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He completed his residency and fellowship in Medical Oncology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Maples practiced Medical Oncology for 25 years at Mayo Clinic and helped lead the Mayo Clinic quality, safety, and experience journey.
He then served as Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at Mission Health in Asheville, North Carolina where he helped Mission Health navigate cultural transformation and become a leading healthcare organization recognized for its impeccable quality and safety. Dr. Maples more recently served as Chief Medical Officer of Professional Research Consultants, Inc. Dr. Maples is an Associate Professor Emeritus of Oncology at the Mayo College of Medicine and a Clinical Professor at Brooks College of Health at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

- Experience in managing portfolios dealing with home grown application development, package implementations & business intelligence solution development having programs run in Agile / Scrum, iterative & waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent perspicacity in understanding and connecting organizational strategy, operations, and technology.
